By digging, observing and analyzing, archaeologists uncover secrets buried deep within the earth to draw new conclusions about the past. In much the same way, the four artists featured in Archaeology Above Ground examine their surroundings to create a vibrant image of the present.
The four featured artists are all current MECA faculty members. Exhibition juried by Christopher Campbell, Architect; George Kinghorn, Director and Curator, University of Maine Museum of Art; and Alison Hildreth, Visual Artist.
